so what's up with this "location" option with the music and mood?
next_bold_move did it and then
irish_jen78 did too. did you just code it yourself or am i missing out on a bit of niftyness?
very soon i have to go get hannah. she's stayed after again today. i hope that means she won't have any homework when she gets home. i hate to see her have to spend her little bit of free time at night doing the same kind of work she did all day. plus she has a bike to ride. she's so in love with the bike she got for her birthday. she woke up early and rode again today. she rode before dinner last night and wanted to after, but it was dark.
it makes me think of my brother. my brother was an amazing rider by her age (he built his dream bike, buying it a part at a time, when he was in 1st or 2nd grade), but just tall the talk of riding. that's all he ever did.
when we were buying the bike on her birthday, a nice mom told me not to buy a helmet for twenty bucks, because we could go into any lawrence fire station and they'd give her one for free. so we went after school. i was nervous, but they were super nice. i had to tell them our address and stuff but that was it. they're nice helmets and hannah got to choose one that matches her bike. very cool. if you live here and have kids (i don't think any of you do), go get one. i'm sure your tax dollars paid for it.
last night hannah told me the reason she loves it so much is that when she's riding down the street she's not thinking about being diabetic or epileptic, she's just being.
it made me very glad i bought her a bike.
i'm not so glad that i've slacked so much yesterday and today. there's plenty to do, as always. tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday and i never know if i've done enough to make him feel spoiled on his birthday.
